Techno Inc. is excited to announce their newest CNC Plasma Accessory: The TechProbe Digitizer.
The new digitizing probe mounts easily to any Techno CNC plasma machine. The user-friendly TechProbe software will digitize an object with simple or complex geometric shapes. Input the object, scan-area dimensions and desired step- resolution into the software, and the program automatically collects the data. Most of the software’s default settings, like speeds and resolutions, will not have to be reconfigured.
Digitized 2-dimensional objects are generated onto the screen in a field of automatic toolpath points. Techno’s TechProbe software allows you to view the scan through its active-preview window. Parts can be imported into CAD/CAM plasma design software for revision or the data can be immediately cut without any revision, modification, or manipulation.

Techno Customer James Hall's Testimonial
I would like to thank my customer James Hall for his kind words, it has been
our honor and privilege to work with such a creative and professional
businessman.
I thought it would be a great to share his work with others.
I'm sure there will be more great postings on his creative work in future posts.

Custom kitchen cabinets and remodeling
Outdoor kitchens and custom outdoor cabinets
Custom CNC signs
Custom CNC cutting
For several years, I have been interested in purchasing a CNC machine for our shop. With the high demand for custom cabinets in the Nashville area coupled with one of my workers losing a finger on our big table saw, I decided it was time to seriously look for a much safer way of cutting materials!
I called many CNC companies, and was disappointed with the results: folks not calling us back, folks not being very knowledge about their machines, etc. Finally, I called Techno CNC and was connected to who I thought was just another sales guy, Charlie Bible. Wow was I wrong! Quickly, I knew I had found the company I would be buying my CNC from. The amount of knowledge he had about their machines and the different programs they could run was amazing. Based on the quality of the components, knowing it was made right here, and having the feeling after spending $46,000 plus that if I ever had a problem or question, he could answer it – my mind was made up!
Now, after several years of having it, I can't imagine my shop without it. Of course, after ordering it, the recession came. Home building stopped and so did my cabinets! The wonderful thing about having a CNC machine in your shop is that there are so many different things you can do with it! A friend of mine in the sign business called one day and asked if I could make a 3D sign for one of his clients, and as the old saying goes, the rest is history!
I still have Halls Kitchens & Baths and business is much better, along with Just Carved Signs. I can now cut our cabinet parts, make our MDF doors, make custom outdoor cabinets from Extira®, and design and cut 2D and 3D signs for businesses and subdivisions. We also do custom cuts on our CNC machine, such as HVAC beveled wood vents to match vents in the old Minnie Pearl homes and the Gibson Cafe sign at the Nashville International Airport. Amazing machines with amazing service from Techno CNC Routers!
To this day, if I have a question I can call or email Charlie, and typically within minutes, he has the answer! I can't imagine not having that service available. It's as though Techno is across the street when I need to know anything. Thank you Charlie for what you do, and thank you Techno for building a machine that can run twelve hours straight and not fail me!

Tip of the Week • Did you know that you can automate the installation of Braille beads into your ADA signs?
Rather than installing them by hand costing valuable man hours, this process can be done with your machine. Techno offers a tool that mounts in your spindle and by repeating the drill routing (with the spindle turned off), it will install the Braille beads automatically and set the depth precisely.
If you would like to learn more about this tool, visit our website and

Tip of the Week • Did you know that the Techno CNC Interface previewer can be used on any computer?
This is a handy tool to use when you create the nc file at your CAD programming station. This allows the programmer to double check the code and visually see if the depths and origins are set where he or she thinks they are.
The Techno previewer can be downloaded from www.technorouters.com.

Tip of the Week • Did you know that your vacuum hold down system can fuel a fire?
Dull cutters, improper feed rate, or incorrect spindle RPM add friction when routing. This is especially true when routing wood and wood composites that are being held in place with the vacuum hold down system. Composite woods are made up of saw dust and glue. When these raw materials are collected, it's not uncommon that they are molded with other materials in them such as metal. When these metals get nicked by the routing tool, they can create a spark. The vacuum pump draws air down through the vacuum table and it's this air that fuels the spark.
Operators should be made aware that they may not see any evidence of burning because the smoke is being drawn away from the machine through the vacuum table and vented out at the pump.
State laws mandate smoke detectors in buildings, but we suggest one be installed by the pump and machine as an early warning system. It is also recommended to have a fire extinguisher in both locations in case of such an event.
