CNC Signmaking 101!

Our Signmaking 101 seminar was a HUGE success, so an extra special thanks goes out to everyone in attendance!

The day started off with lots of coffee, bagels and donuts while everyone gathered and chatted about everything sign related-including some great marketing tips. The group then headed into the boardroom, while our resident guru extraordinaire-Ken McBride walked everyone through the use of our ADA compliant Braille insertion tool. Ken also covered using software nesting to have greater material yield when cutting letters.

The group then got a chance to meet Jamie Oxenham-CNC router crazy-man! If you didn't know already, Jamie and his wife Jody own  "Oxenham Design" up in the wilds of Ontario, Canada making tons of crazy things on their Techno RG and LC routers. If it's creative, they can router it!

Jamie showed us a 2' sign he was having our in house LC 4896 router carve from HDU foam. The purpose of the demo was showing us how small 3d text can become very jagged and messy. His solution is brilliantly simple and very fast, and results in no hand cleanup!

All of the topics that were covered are available as PDF downloads from the link below:

This was kind of a first for us, and we are quite pleased with the feedback we've recieved!
Keep your eyes on our Facebook page for our next seminar announcement-It's going be something everyone will want to attend!
